How the Redeem Code System Works

When a user purchases your product through Product Canyon, they receive a unique license key (redeem code). This key is used to unlock the product or activate relevant features.

Key Requirements

  • Each pricing plan must have its own set of unique codes.

  • These codes must be pre-generated and provided in advance.

  • Users should not be asked for credit card details during redemption, they’ve already paid through Product Canyon.

Setting Up Your Redemption Flow

For each pricing plan, upload a separate CSV file containing your codes.

  • File Format:

    • Plain text CSV file

    • One code per line

    • No headers

    • No duplicates

    • Randomized

    • 3–150 characters per code

  • Multiple Plans?

    • Upload a different CSV file for each plan

    • Name the file exactly as the plan name (e.g., License Tier 1.csv)

  • Code Quantity:

    • Minimum: 100 codes

    • Maximum: 10,000 codes

Examples

Best Practices

  • Make sure the codes are securely stored and mapped to the correct features or plan tiers in your backend.

  • Test your redemption process before going live to ensure smooth onboarding.
